MINNESOTA SEMINAR IN JUNGIAN STUDIES 2011-2012
The Minnesota Seminar in Jungian Studies invites
consideration from persons wishing to engage in the serious study of Jungian psychology. The seminar is designed for individuals hoping to enrich their lives psychologically, for therapists seeking to enhance their skills analytically, and for those intending to apply for analytic training with the IRSJA (see below). Drawing on the enormous body of work by Jung and post-Jungians, the curriculum is challenging and stimulating in the rich tradition of depth psychology. The faculty consists of local and visiting analysts as well as Jungian scholars and experts in related fields. Enrollment is limited. Classes are held, usually at Macalester College, one weekend a month from September through May excepting January. Saturday classes meet from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a break for lunch. Sunday classes meet from 9:00 a.m. until noon. Tuition is $1,500; training candidates pay an additional $1,000. Financial aid is available on a limited basis for persons with documented need.
Case Colloquium: A case colloquium open to clinicians in the seminar, and
led by a core faculty member, meets every seminar Sunday from 12:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. A fee of $220 is charged for the eight colloquium sessions.
The Minnesota Seminar in Jungian Studies is also a Training Seminar of the Inter-Regional Society of Jungian Analysts (IRSJA), the largest analytic training institute in the United States. Anyone interested in learning more about training in the IRSJA through the Minnesota Seminar may contact the Local Training Coordinator, Lyn Cowan, Ph.D., at lyncowan@q.com or 651-452-3999.
Registration in the seminar is initially possible on a full-time basis only. Part-time attendance requires two years of prior full-time status in the seminar. Further information and an application form, to be printed,
completed, and mailed in, are available in PDF format below. Although the
2011-2012 seminar is now full, applications may be submitted at any time and
will be responded to
