MINNESOTA SEMINAR IN JUNGIAN STUDIES 2011-2012

The Minnesota Seminar in Jungian Studies invites consideration from persons wishing to engage in the serious study of Jungian psychology. The seminar is designed for individuals hoping to enrich their lives psychologically, for therapists seeking to enhance their skills analytically, and for those intending to apply for analytic training with the IRSJA (see below). Drawing on the enormous body of work by Jung and post-Jungians, the curriculum is challenging and stimulating in the rich tradition of depth psychology. The faculty consists of local and visiting analysts as well as Jungian scholars and experts in related fields. Enrollment is limited. Classes are held, usually at Macalester College, one weekend a month from September through May excepting January. Saturday classes meet from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with a break for lunch. Sunday classes meet from 9:00 a.m. until noon. Tuition is $1,500; training candidates pay an additional $1,000. Financial aid is available on a limited basis for persons with documented need.

The 2011-2012 Seminar will offer the following courses:

  • Ronnie Landau:  Erotic Transference/Counter-transference: Encounters with the Realm of the Erotic and Power

  • Liza Burr:  Readings from Jung’s Collected Works, vol. 8
